Neighbors...
I want to take a second and explore a rather colorful subject that is a large part of my every day life: my neighbors. I live in an apartment complex in Lowell. When I first looked at this building, one of the things that attracted me the most was that there were no shoes lined outside of everyone’s door, and there was no thick smell of cooking ethnic food lingering in the hallways. Practically every other place I looked at had both – yuck. Upon moving in here, I have stumbled across a few pairs of shoes hanging out in the hallway, but never every door all the time. In fact, I remember when I was being showed the building, I commented on the lack of shoes and smell and the girl showing me the apartment said that it was actually against their policies to leave stuff out in the hallways. Anyways, since I moved in I discovered that there certainly are days when I come home to the obnoxious smell of some strange food. Maybe it’s curry or something. I think the majority of my neighbors are middle eastern – isn’t that what they eat? I haven’t really MET anyone that I can like, tell you their name or anything… Except this one kid who turned out to be a complete weirdo and I began avoiding him because I THINKKKK he had the wrong idea about me. Sorry pal. There are some girls that live upstairs around my age too that told me they have parties and I should go up there sometime. I forget their names, buuut maybe one night I’ll head up there for a drink or two.
